Andrew M. Nason, Esq. is a seasoned civil litigator based in Buffalo, New York, with licensure to practice in both New York State and the District of Columbia. His bar admissions also extend to several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. At Pigott Law Group, Mr. Nason’s diverse practice spans general business litigation, civil rights advocacy, and personal injury claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nason developed a robust background in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation while working at various mid-sized firms. His experience includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes patent infringement disputes, trade secret misappropriation cases, unfair competition investigations, contract conflicts, and insurance coverage litigation. He has appeared before state and federal courts across the country—including the Supreme Court of the United States—as well as administrative bodies like the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Mr. Nason holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. Before entering law, he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester. His early professional career included roles as a chemical engineer focused on ethanol distillation system upgrades, and later as a product manager for a wood-treatment chemical company.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Nason is an avid hockey and golf enthusiast. He serves on the Canisius High School Alumni Board and dedicates much of his personal time to his family—most often at the ice hockey rink, cheering on his children from the stands as they compete.
